Dr. Carol Swain: ‘The National Agenda Is to Keep Everyone in Masks to Strike Fear in the Hearts of People and Manipulate the Population’

Live from Music Row Monday morning on The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy – broadcast on Nashville’s Talk Radio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – host Leahy welcomed all-star panelist, Dr. Carol Swain, in-studio to discuss her new book, the nation’s agenda of fear, and the failed Republican leadership of Governor Bill Lee.

Leahy: In-studio with us, our good friend, all-star panelist, Carol Swain. Good morning again, Carol.

Swain: Good morning.

Leahy: It’s interesting, Carol. You have a lot of followers on Twitter, 77,000 followers. You just put your picture up there. And now all of a sudden I’m getting all these notices. Hey, we love Carol! We love Carol! We’ve got to buy her book.

Her great new book, Black Eye for America, about Critical Race Theory, available at Amazon.com. Hats off to you for your successful book launch, but also for all the people that are listening in.

Swain: Well, thank you. And for people that would prefer not to purchase my book at Amazon, (Leahy laughs) purchasing keeps my numbers high. There is Logos Christian Bookstore and they’re carrying the book in the store and I’ve signed copies.

Yes, Every Kid

Leahy: Now, where is Logos located?

Swain: It’s in Green Hills.

Leahy: Oh, yeah, I’ve been there. It’s a nice store.

Swain: It is.

Leahy: It’s a nice store in Green Hills. It’s a little bit out of the way. You have to kind of go off the main drag there a bit, but it’s right off in one of those little culdesacs back there I guess. Right?

Swain: Yes.

Leahy: And they’re good people. You’ll be holding a book signing at Puffy Muffin. Our good friends at Puffy Muffin in Brentwood this Saturday, August 21st, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Do people just show up, or do they sign up? Where do they go?

Swain: I have it listed as an event on Facebook, but you can show up. Just show up. It’s open. The bakery is open at that time.

Leahy: The food is delicious there, by the way.

Swain: They will not be serving meals, but they will be serving that famous spice tea. (Giggles)

Leahy: Oh, so good. So good.

Swain: And people can get their own cookies.

Leahy: America’s interests are falling apart over in Afghanistan because of the awful incompetent leadership of our commander-in-chief. The legal but not legitimate occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Joe Biden.

We’ll talk about that at 7:30. I had an exclusive interview with Mike Pompeo last Saturday, and he predicted this in a prophetic warning. We’ll talk about that at 7:30.

But in this segment, Carol, what I’d like to talk about is the problem we’re facing here in Tennessee with out-of-control woke school boards that want to make kids wear stupid masks that have no effect on limiting the transmission of COVID.

And then they’re trying to sneak this Critical Race Theory thing in. To me, the big culprits in terms of the school boards that are out of control are Davidson County, Williamson County, Shelby County, and probably a few others out there. What’s your take on where K-12 public education stands in Tennessee today?

Swain: Wherever Democrats are in control, they’re pushing the national agenda. And so the national agenda is to keep everyone in masks to strike fear in the hearts of people and to manipulate the population.

And I think it’s very unfortunate how the media has tried to demonize the parents in Williamson County who are standing up for their children.

And so they take one or two people and use them to imply that the people in Williamson County, the ones that are standing up for the rights of their children, are somehow unpatriotic extremists, and they’re white supremacists. You go down the list.

Leahy: Go down the list.

Swain: It’s such a false presentation of reality. And so I applaud parents who are following the science and who are pushing back. We need more people to do that. But wherever Democrats are in control, you get irrational policies that are illogical.

Leahy: Absolutely. And of course, we see it with this mask mandate. You also see it with the efforts to jam down Critical Race Theory in the curriculum. A couple of things on the mask thing:

Speaker of the House Cam Sexton, in a letter signed by every single member – all 74 members of the Republican caucus in the House of Representatives sent a letter to Governor Lee last week and said, let’s hold a special session so parents rights aren’t trampled on by out-of-control Left-wing lunatic school boards.

The governor said, thank you for sending me this letter. I’ll get back to you. That’s kind of a weak response, in my view.

Swain: The governor has been weak ever since he was elected. And that’s one reason why I supported Diane Black from the very beginning. I think we have the governor I anticipated we would have. And I like Bill Lee as a person.

Leahy: He’s a very nice guy. Nobody disagrees with the fact that he’s a nice guy.

Swain: But he’s not a strong, effective leader. And I believe that as a consequence, Tennessee doesn’t really have a Republican governor.

Leahy: I agree with that completely. The other thing, we’re looking at this in terms of the special session, little birdies, tell me this. (Laughter) We have a state Senate here. There are 99 members of the House of Representatives.

It’s pretty raucous there, right? We have sharp elbows and people talking and making stuff happen. We have a lot of members of the House who come in here in the studio and talk to us about what that’s like.

It’s a little different in the state Senate. They’re very kind of slow, state, not a lot of sharp elbows thrown there. The way it works in Tennessee is that the majority party leader of the state Senate is also the Lieutenant governor.

In this case, it’s Randy McNally. Here is what little birdies tell me. He loathes sending a letter to the governor to ask for a special session. He’s kind of waiting to see if they get over that two-thirds mark. If two-thirds of each house say, let’s have a special session, there’s a special session.

Swain: I would say to the people that are listening, you need to get on the phone, write letters, and really pressure the members of the legislature to take a stance to put pressure on the governor.

I think it’s unfortunate that President Trump so early injected himself into Tennessee because we do have a problem with the governor. He’s not a true Republican.

Leahy: I agree with you 100 percent of that, Carol. We’ll have to have a little discussion with the former president. You know he listens to us so carefully. (Chuckles) He does listen to you, Carol, and occasionally we talk to him.
